IMPA - Instrumental Music Parents Association
IMPA (Instrumental Music Parents Association) is a non profit organization comprised of parents, families and other community supporters of the students in the UHi Music program.
IMPA was created to have a more specialized support group to assist the increasing needs of the growing music program. The IMPA Boosters are dedicated to the safety and success of each student in the program. Numerous hours are spent behind the scenes year round coordinating fundraising events, chaperoning competition trips, preparing meals & desserts, fitting and mending uniforms... and that is just to name a few.
IMPA is always eager to hear of new ideas and has multiple varieties of volunteer opportunities. Whether you can give only an hour of your time, bake some treats at home, or spend an entire weekend on an out of town trip, we would love for you to join us!! Stay informed by attending the booster meetings.
The meetings are held the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00pm in the band room.
Our current fundraisers include, but are not limited to: Spring & Fall Craft fair, fall car wash, Spokane Preview Showcase, SaveAround coupon book sales, World's Finest chocolate, and Butter Braids.
If you have any fundraising suggestions we would love to hear from you!!

Chaperoning Events
The different bands and orchestras within the Music program participate in many competitive and educational events within the Spokane area and abroad. A few of those include: Apple Blossom parade in Wenatchee, Lilac parade, Orchestra & Jazz festivals, Marching band tour season, all day band camps, concerts and more!!
All of these events require chaperones to assist in a variety of ways. From cooking to braiding hair, to helping maneuver percussion equipment and band-aiding a boo boo, Some events are only for the day, while others are spent overnight on your airbed on a gymnasium floor. One thing is for certain, you will have a fun & memorable time spent with a gracious group of parents and kids!
We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to help whether it be for an hour or a weekend. Don't miss out on some great memories in the making!! Fill out the CVSD Volunteer form and submit it to the office with a copy of your driver's license. Be sure to check back often to see what we are planning next!
